
Why we use infrared for changing rooms
Ever stepped out of a hot shower into a changing room that feels like a walk-in freezer? It’s the worst. Most heaters try to warm up the air. But in a big, open changing area with drafts, that warm air just floats away before it ever reaches you. We do things differently. We use shortwave infrared (IR). Instead of fighting the breeze, IR ignores the air entirely. It sends heat straight to your skin and clothes. It’s like stepping into a beam of sunlight on a winter day. You feel it instantly, even if the room itself is still chilly. The “Luxury” Feel We set these up to hit a specific spot with a lot of power. Unlike those slow-burn systems that need to bounce heat off the ceiling, these work like a heat lamp. The result? No more shivering while you try to get your socks on. Built for the Humidity Let’s be honest: bathrooms are a nightmare for electronics. Steam and moisture eat through gear. To stop that from happening, we use quartz glass and special coatings that keep the internals from corroding. We also run these on their own dedicated circuits because they pull a lot of power to get that “instant-on” heat. We seal every connector tight so moisture can’t sneak in and blow a fuse. The Trade-offs Now, you can’t just slap these anywhere. Because the heat is so concentrated, placement is everything. If you mount them too low or too close to a bench, you’ll end up with a “hot spot” that’s actually uncomfortable.
