And the quartz tube length—usually between 300mm and 600mm—is chosen to fit the space and spread heat where you need it, without wasting energy. The result? It gets to the right temperature fast, then holds steady without constantly kicking on and off.
The Materials and the Design
At the center of it all is a quartz tube, filled with halogen gas, built to handle repeated on/off cycles and the kind of heat that comes with industrial use. Because the filament runs hotter than standard heating elements, the output stays in the shortwave and near-infrared range. That means the heat penetrates surfaces quickly—so walls, floors, and mirrors warm up first, and the air follows. The R7s connector keeps wiring simple with a direct two-pin connection, so the lamp is a straightforward drop-in replacement in existing fixtures.
